Chanel Vernis - 583 Taboo

I have grown to love Chanel. Every girl needs to have at least one Chanel product, in my opinion. Wearing a Chanel polish makes me feel like a strong woman, that deserves to be treated with respect. It is amazing how a brand can change the way you feel.

Anyway, I was looking at polishes one day and my eyes were drawn to this beauty. Chanel Vernis nr.583. She doesn't look special in the bottle but when wearing the colour on my nails, it comes to life.
Words can not describe how beautiful this color is, but I'll do my best.
Different shades and shimmers are seen depending on what lighting you are in. For example; when exposed to sunlight, the color turns into a purple, pink, red and gold shimmer, very similar to the picture below.
But when I'm inside, the color is a dark purple. It is an interesting colour and wearing it makes you love it even more.

I am truly sorry that I can't show any swatches, at the moment I am wearing another Chanel color, but more on that later!

If you are thinking of buying this one, do not hesitate! It is worth every single penny!

Breast Cancer Awareness

Hello everyone!

Every year in October it's Breast Cancer awareness month. I don't think it matters if it's October or February, you should still be aware.

So I was really stressed when I made these nails and I don't like them that much. But I'll upload them anyway haha.

It's an easy french manicure with a pink-glittery line and the ribbon.
I used a toothpick for all the details :)

This time I took two pictures, one in daylight and one with flash.

Daylight first:

Flash:

I think the last picture looks a bit too bright but yeah, that was the finished look :)

Hope you like it!

Checkered

Hello!

So i'm sorry for not uploading anything new but i've been really busy with school. So I made this easy design!
CHECKERED nails!

I thought that it would be easier to show you how to make so I used my painting skills and painted a step-by-step guide for you!

Do I really need to explain it?
For the black I used a nail art polish with a really thin brush.

And here is the finished result:

I also had some fun with the design..

That's all!

Se you in the next ''tutorial''

Angry Birds

You know that really addicting game? Yeah, that with birds that flies and destroys things and pigs? :P

I never really cared about that game. Sadly I do not own anything from Apple and I do not have an Android phone.. depressing..
But when I found it on Google Chrome.. Unicorns started dancing!
Why not make a nail design with it?

I got really inspired from a YouTuber called cutepolish. She makes really easy and cute designs!

So, start off with a basecoat.

Look at that cuticle.. oh God..

Next, Make an oval shape on the tip of your nail.
Make some feathers on the head and make a smaller white oval at the tip.
As you can see, my white got mixed ut with the red a bit. If the same happens to you, just let it dry and then go over it with another layer of white.

After that make the eyes, eyebrows and the beak.
To make the eyes you can use a dotting tool ( I used the end of my lip brush) and first make two big black dots, let it dry, and then two smaller white dots. I used an Art Liner for the eyebrows and the black dots in the eyes and for the beak I used a toothpick!

Easy? Yeah.
But I wanted to try to make another angry bird.. the yellow bird.
Why did I even try..:(

I was too concentrated when I made the yellow bird so I didn't take step-by-step pictures, but here it is (along with the finished result):

Ignore the cuticles, and the fact that I haven't cleaned up around the edges :p

Add a top coat and you. are. done!

Apple

As all of you may know, Steve Jobs died this week.
He was the co-founder of Apple and chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios.

To honor him and his work I made some pretty easy nails.

I also tried a new polish from ELF, A gold glittery polish.
To get it slightly opaque I used 4 coats. And what I really liked is that the polish is fast-drying!

I know that the apple isn't exactly like the real Apple, I kinda did this in a hurry before I went to school! I used a toothpick and a grey/baby blue color.

When I got home I TRIED to make a dripping effect. Honestly, it looks like a mega fail to me haha. And I fixed the apple a bit because it didn't dry before I went out.

With a top coat everything will look smooth and pretty!
Everything I make is made with a toothpick or the end of a makeup brush. The nail art brushes are too expensive here and a toothpick works just as good.

R.I.P Mr Jobs!

My first matte experience

Matte Nail polishes, love or hate?

All I can say is Oh My God! I LOVE it!
Never in my entire life have I experienced a polish that dries this fast. Never, I tell you!

The orange color is really pretty and it's not too matte, and to add some color I made some flowers with a toothpick on two of the nails!

Obviously I skipped the topcoat to keep the ''non-glossy'' look.

Oh, and btw isn't that teeny tiny brush too cute?
